Wheat and corn prices fell on Thursday, giving up some of their big gains from earlier this week that were partly fuelled by hot weather concerns for the US Corn Belt. Chicago Board of Trade wheat for September delivery fell 1.8 percent, or 12-3/4 cents, to $7.01-3/4 per bushel at 11:48 am CDT (1648 GMT), after prices rose more than 12 percent in two days.
Chicago December corn dropped 1.2 percent, or 8 cents, to $6.71-3/4 per bushel. New-crop November soybeans gained 0.5 percent, or 6-1/4 cents, to $13.86 per bushel.
