Rumors suggest Apple might slash iPhone prices in 2018
Apple’s iPhones are mostly very expensive and not easy for everyone to afford them. However, new reports suggest that Apple might lower these prices by early 2018 to make a greater place in markets.
A report by DigiTimes claimed that Apple plans on taking this step in order to encourage a higher growth and grabbing a bigger market share as recently, iPhone X’s and other model’s demand have decreased and are not as it was expected initially.
The reports asserts that iPhone X’s shipments will climb up to 30-35 million in the first quarter of 2018 and either will stay flat or drop slightly. Rumors suggest that the company also has started designing a model iPhone with support of pre-5G features, wrote BGR.
Apple likely to launch three new iPhones next year
Usually, Apple drops prices for its older iPhones when the new iPhone is launched. If the rumors turn out to be true, Apple’s most expensive iPhone X that currently costs $999 making it unaffordable for many, might become more affordable, as will other models.
According to Yahoo, through this strategy Apple might arouse demand for its devices that will in turn generate more revenue and profit. Moreover, in 2018, Apple is also rumored to launch three brand new iPhones.
