Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Monday issued bailable arrest warrants (BAW) of First Woman Bank, Faisalabad D-ground branch Area Manager Tasneem Rizvi for not appearing before the court to defend allegations of fraud against her and other bank officers.
The court also directed SHO Madina Town police to appear before the court on July 28. The petitioner Ammara Waqas submitted that Tasneem Rizvi along with Farida Yasmeen, branch manager, and Ammara Ismael, credit manager of the bank used to visit her super store. She said the three bank officers convinced her to obtain loan of Rs 1 million from the First Woman Bank in order to expand the business.
She said the respondents asked her for Rs 100,000 for process fee and documentation for the loan facility, which she gave them through cheque. And the loan amount was transferred to her newly opened bank account, but the respondents demanded more money as illegal gratification and threaten her to cancel the loan.
Petitioner alleged that when she did not fulfil illegal demands the respondent bank officers they managed to seize her bank account and consequently she could not withdraw her loan amount.
She said a complaint was filed with Madina Town police station but the police took no action against the respondents. She prayed to the court to direct the police to take action against the respondents and get her money recovered from them.
