Our world is moving towards futuristic technologies, such as humanoid robots, artificial intelligence and self-driving vehicles, while 2017 was a year full of mesmerizing and jaw-dropping technological and architectural designs.

Although it is not sure if these designs would even turn into reality or not, but it surely does show a glimpse of our futures. Here is a look at few of those future technology designs presented in 2017.

Upside-down skyscraper

The upside-down skyscraper’s design is in such a way that it floats above Earth’s surface, tied to an asteroid orbiting Earth. If this skyscraper is constructed successfully, it might be a useful tool for potential future.

The undersea restaurant

There is also a proposal for an undersea restaurant off the coast of Norway that will also contain a research center for marine life. The restaurant’s construction is expected to start by next year.

Ferry terminal

The ferry terminal’s design has been proposed for the city Seoul. Along with amazing architecture, the terminals are also designed as a solution for green energy. The ferry terminals are designed in such a way that they can generate all of the energy that they require from solar and wind sources.

The Giant Sequoia Skyscraper

The design of The Giant Sequoia Skyscraper was created by numerous South Korean designers to show a peaceful coexistence between humans and nature. The idea of The Giant Sequoia Skyscraper is that it includes building skyscrapers inside giant existing trees.

Transportable homes

The amazing design of transportable homes gained much popularity this year. These homes are elevated to avoid floods. Pointed in such ways that no room will be deprived of sunlight, the homes are expected to start constructing in 2018 in Southern California.

The Big Bend

The Big Bend is an arch-shaped skyscraper that was designed by Oiio originally for the city of New York. The foundation square footage of the building is rather small; it can hold an large number of people without getting too tall and becoming unbalanced.

Floating bridge

This design of floating bridge is from Margot Krasojevi?, which shows that this bridge can float, fold up and even more locations.

Nautilus Eco-Resort

As its design demonstrates, Nautilus Eco-Resort utilizes hydroponic growth technologies and other tools, which integrates plant growth into architecture. This design is inspired by the Fibonacci spiral as per Futurism.
