The Government College University (GCU) Lahore football team on Saturday won the Independence Cup organised by the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) in connection with the 64th independence celebrations of Pakistan.
The GCU football team beat the noted Usmani Club by 2-0 in the finals. Asad Subhani and Muhammad Nauman scored the goals from the GCU side. As many as 16 teams including of Punjab University, University of Management and Technology (UMT), Forman Christian (FC) University, and Lahore School of Economics (LSE) took part in the football competition.
