Two persons including a girl were killed and one injured in firing in the capital during last 24 hours. Islamabad Police claimed to have arrested nine persons including two lady drug pushers in 17 different incidents of crime reported in the city.
A girl namely Lali Bibi was murdered by some unknown assailants near Khanna Bridge in the jurisdiction of Koral Police Station. The assailants strangulated the Lali Bibi, a gypsy girl aged 26 hailing from Multan, to death for unknown reasons. Koral Police registered a case under FIR no 303/11 under section 302 against unknown killers and handed over the body of deceased girl to her relatives. The Investigation Officer, Akram Zar told this scribe that there was no progress in the case and police are looking at all aspects of the case.
A student of seminary Azhar Raza was killed by his fellow student Muhammad Suhail who beat him up with steel pipes in Madrassa Qamarul Islam in F-6/1 sector of Islamabad in jurisdiction of Kohsar Police Station. Police registered FIR under number 396/11 under section 302 and arrested Muhammad Suhail. The two students fought over a little dispute when Suhail hit the head of the deceased Azhar with steel pipe. One person was injured after his rivals resorted to firing in Shakar Parrian area in jurisdiction of Aabpara Police. According to the details Javed Rashid opened fire on Muhammad Zafar, as a result he received injuries.
Islamabad Police recovered two cars, three pistols, stolen commodities, 2.8 kg charas and 180 gram heroin from detained outlaws. Aabpara Police impounded a Toyota Corolla Car bearing registration No LEB-654 after its registration book was found fake. Police stopped the car near Sunday Bazar Aabpara after they found the car suspicious and when the registration book was verified at ETO it was found bogus. Aabpara Police also impounded a tampered car from Aabpara Chowk. The Corolla GLi bearing registration No LED-2427 was stopped by police and after laboratory checking the car was found tampered.
Shahzad Town Police recovered two pistols (30-bore) and five bullets during the investigation under trial detainees namely Jahad Ali and Javed Shah. Responding to a tipoff Shalimar Police stopped a person namely Shahzad Masih and seized one pistol (30-bore) and three bullets.
Tarnol Police during routine checking at Jhangi Syeddan check point stopped a lady namely Fakhra Bashir and on search police recovered 2.8 kg charas from her possession. Tarnol Police stopped another lady namely Lubna at Jhangi Syeddan check point and seized 180 gram heroin. Bhara Kahu Police arrested a person namely Khaleeb from the market who was begging. Police have filed separate cases against the detained persons and investigation is underway.
