The Karachi Port handled 111,648 tonnes of cargo including 86,314 tonnes of import cargo, 25,334 tonnes of export cargo and 2,415 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 86,314 tonnes comprised of 21,400 tonnes of containerised cargo; 4,377 tonnes of general cargo; 20,226 tonnes of bulk cargo: 846 tonnes of DAP; 18,000 tonnes of coal; 1,380 tonnes of rock phosphate and 40,311 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 25,334 tonnes comprised of 10,147 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,480 tonnes of general cargo; 1,407 tonnes of cement and 11,300 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Nine ships namely Bux Melody, CS Discovery, APL Brisbane, Al Buhaira, MT Quetta, Strilen, Jin Yuan Men, El Mar Victoria and Suleyman Pasli carrying three container ships, three oil tankers, two genral cargo ships and bulk cargo ship respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz Hanjin Durban, Hyundai Highness, El Mar Victoria, Hanjin Danica, Atlantic Gemini and Nadeem carrying two container ships, two genral cargo ships, oil tanker and bulk cargo ship respectively are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Hanjin Durban, MOL Bravery, Hanjin Danica and Bon Vent with two container ships, genral cargo ship and ethanol ship respectively are expected to sail on Tuesday, while six ships namely Hyundai Highness, Hansa Constitution, Greenwich Bridge, Atlantic Gemini, Yong Jin, and Liberty Pride with three container ships, molasses ship, coal carrier and vehicles carrier are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Three vessels viz Hansa Constitution, YM Europe and Dongbu Promy-1 with two container ships and chemicals carrier respectively are due to arrive on Tuesday, while four container vessels viz YM Fuzhou, CSL Ride, Kota Singa and Rio Grand Express carrying two oil tankers, four container ships and general cargo ship respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A cargo volume of 82,005 tonnes, comprising 60,776 tonnes of import cargo and 21,229 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 1,134 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The total import cargo of 60,776 tonnes includes 42,189 tonnes of furnace oil; 4,273 tonnes of palm oil; 1,581 tonnes of urea and 12,733 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 21,229 tonnes includes 6,184 tonnes of cement and 15,045 tonnes of containerised cargo. Three ships namely CV Maersk Idaho, MT Bunga Angelica and MT Kassos sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while another ships namely MT Anggraini is expected to sail on the same day.
A total number of eight vessels CV Maersk Idaho, MV Wales-II, Alaska-II, Hai Yu, MT Bunga Angelica, MT Anggraini, Stolt Zulu and Kassos are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, urea, palm oil, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours. Six ships namely Sea Lion, Th Symphony, Bunga Babcat, Alexi-I, Tycon-II and Maersk Kinston carrying furnace oil, palm oil, cement and containers respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Three ships namely CV Maersk Kinston, CV Al-Noof-II and MT Sea Lion due to arrive on Tuesday, while two container ships namely CV ACX Lily and CV CMA CGM Verdi are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
