Punjab University Department of Applied Psychology senior lecturers Shazia Khalid and Afseen Masood have presented three research papers in joint conference of the 18th Annual International Conference on Advances in Management and 4th Annual International Conference on Social Intelligence organised by Centre for Advanced Studies in Managements (USA) held in Cancun Mexico, USA.
In general body of the organisation, Shazia Khalid was elected as Vice-President while Afsheen Masood as member Board of Trustee for ICAM 2011. Around 60 delegates from diverse countries presented their research papers, and the faculty members from PU were the sole presenters from Pakistan.
Punjab University Institute of Plant Pathology (IPP) faculty member Professor Dr Ghazala Nasim has been awarded 8th Annual Environment Excellence Award 2011 by National Forum for Environment and Health Karachi, and duly endorsed by United Nation Environment Porgram (UNEP).
The award is conferred to recognise and promote the individuals and institutions which make an outstanding contribution to environment and sustainable development. The award was given to Dr Ghazala Nasim in a ceremony held at Marriott Hotel Karachi. Provincial Minister for Power and Energy Sindh Shazia Maree was the chief guest while Hameedullah Jan Afridi, Rukhsana Zubairi and large number of celebrities and representatives of industry were also present. -PR
