Fire broke out in two commercial plazas situated in Alipur Farash in outskirts of the Federal Capital that turned many shops and valuables into ashes on Thursday morning, police said. The cause of fire could not be ascertained yet. However, the owner of the commercial plaza said that this is not an accident and act of sabotage.
Police sources said that the fire broke out in the basement of a four-storey plaza in Alipur Farash in the jurisdiction of Shahzad Town Police due to which other floors also caught fire. After a while, the second floor of a nearby plaza also caught fire. The affected plazas had inflammable material that is used for construction purposes including chemicals and plastic.
