The Met Office has said that temperature in some central and southern parts of Balochistan and upper Sindh may surge from 40 to 45 degree centigrade in the next five days, advising the cotton growers to irrigate crops as per need.
Temperature is likely to remain unchanged in most parts of the country because of the continued monsoon weather and may rise from 40 to 45 degree centigrade in some central, southern parts of Balochistan and Upper Sindh, says the Met Office's 10-day farmers advisory. It says the country's agriculture plains are largely to remain cloudy during the next 10 days.
"Monsoon weather system is prevailing in upper parts of the country and in south-eastern parts of Sindh, it may remain in the present conditions for first two days of the decade [August 11 to 20] in south-eastern Sindh," it adds. The advisory warns that another system is expected to approach the upper parts of the country during second half of the decade. Due to which rain and thundershower are expected mostly in the upper half of the country and at scattered places of south-eastern parts of Sindh, it maintains.
It says the gusty winds may prevail occasionally in the monsoon belt and adjoining areas, mostly in the upper half part of the country and south-eastern parts of Sindh during the next 10 days. Met office advises the cotton growers to water their crops as per need as the dry weather in the cotton belt to continue.
