One person died in road accident, while Capital Police in its on-going crackdown against beggars nabbed 20 beggars along with 11 outlaws for their alleged involvement in drug pushing, fake currency, possession of illegal arms and fraud. Police during last 24 hours recovered four pistols, 2 kg heroin, 1.5 kg charas and fake currency valuing Rs 97,000 from the detained outlaws.
A fast driven Hiace Wagon hit a passer-by at IJP Road resulting in spot death of the passerby. According to the police a fast driven wagon Hiace bearing registration No LHG-5258 hit a passerby namely Muhammad Farooq at IJP Road resulting in spot death. Driver managed to escape from the scene while Sabzi Mandi Police registered the case and started investigation.
Tarnol Police stopped a person namely Hameed Gul at its Jhangi Syeddan check point and on search police recovered 1.5 kg heroin from him. Golra Police during routine patrolling stopped a person Naveed Ali in Pind Paracha and on search police recovered 500 gram heroin from him.
In response to a tipoff Koral Police raided a forest area in Bangial village and arrested one drug pusher Abid Hussain and recovered 1.5 kg charas from him. Two accomplices of Abid, Shahzeb and Shahid Khan managed to escape. During routine patrolling, Golra Police stopped a person Ghulam Yunus at Chungi No 26 and on search police recovered 97 fake currency notes of Rs 1,000 from him.
Golra Police during routine patrolling at Chungi No 26 stopped a person namely Saadullah and on search one pistol ((30-bore) and five bullets were recovered from him. Tarnol Police stopped a person namely Ahmed Saeed at Jhangi Syeddan check point and recovered one pistol (30-bore) and two magazines from him. Tarnol Police also recovered two pistols (30-bore) and 12 bullets from two persons namely Irfan Ali and Abdul Manan at Jhangi Syeddan check point.
During its crackdown against beggars capital police nabbed 20 beggars from different areas. Kohsar Police nabbed four beggars namely Shaukat Ali, Abdullah, Muhammad Yasir and Asif from Blue Area who were begging outside Savour Foods. Bhara Kahu Police arrested four beggars from Athal Chowk, who were identified as Ghafoor, Muhammad Din, Jahangir and Imam Din.
Shalimar Police arrested two beggars from F-10 Markaz who were identified as Muhammad Ashraf and Muhammad Arshad. I-9 Police arrested four beggars from Agha Shah Avenue crossing near Peshawar Morr who were identified as Karim Khan, Muhammad Ramzan, Sher Muhammad and Asjad Mehmood. Sabzi Mandi Police arrested three beggars namely Miskeen Shah, Abdul Qadir and Muhammad Jaffer from I-10/1. Sihala Police arrested three beggars namely Muhammad Farooq, Sajjad Ahmed and Abdul Lateef from Rawat area.
