Two members of the Nato-led International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan have been killed in separate incidents, officials said Friday. One "died following an improvised explosive device attack" in the east of the country on Thursday, the statement said.
"In a separate incident, an ISAF service member died following an insurgent attack in southern Afghanistan," also Thursday, it said. The incidents happened the same day five other foreign soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb in the south of the country. At least 49 international troops have been killed this month in Afghanistan. Last week, 30 US special forces personnel were killed when the Taliban downed a helicopter.
