Lahore College For Women University (LCWU) Lahore marked Independence Day on Sunday with great zeal, enthusiasm and renewed commitment to make Pakistan strong and prosperous. Flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Campus in front of Auditorium.
Acting vice-chancellor of Lahore College for Women University Dr Farhat Saleemi, the registrar, Dr Hamala S. Khalid, the controller of examinations, Riffat Saqlain, the deans of all faculties, administrative officers, employees and a large number of students attended the ceremony. The VC, in her address stated that freedom is a great blessing. The value of independence could be gauged from the miserable plight of Muslims living in India, Kashmir and Palestine.
