Provincial Minister of Sindh Sassi Palejo has said that a lot of work has to be done in the disaster management area. Talking to a private news channel, she said that a lot was said about the disaster management during Musharraf regime but practical steps were not taken.
Palejo said that LBOD [Left Bank Outfall Drain] and RBOD [Right Bank Outfall Drain] are dangerous drains which carry floodwaters. She said that a lot of people have been displaced due to the recent floods in Thatta, where a huge number of people have been affected due to floods. She appreciated Prime Minister's offer that the federal government would come forward for the assistance of the Sindh government.
