The Swiss franc rose against the euro and the dollar on Tuesday as renewed worries about the eurozone crisis pushed investors towards the safe-haven currency despite the Swiss National Bank's warning it could take more measures to stem the franc's rise.
The franc rose 0.9 percent against the euro to trade at 1.1230 per euro by 0709 GMT compared to the New York close. The franc rose 0.4 percent against the dollar, trading at 0.7807 per dollar. The franc hit record highs against the euro and the dollar last week, but then slid to two-week lows on Monday as speculation grew the SNB could further act to curb currency strength by setting an exchange rate target.
