The provincial Excise & Taxation authorities have seized 930 litres of locally made alcohol and arrested two accused in raids conducted at illegal brewery in Hyderabad. According to an official of Excise department here on Wednesday, one raid was conducted by Excise Police, Hyderabad, in Tando Haider area of Hyderabad and second at Satty Village near Hyderabad by-pass.
The accused were identified as Achar s/o Ahmed Kori and Shafiq son of Khamiso. Meanwhile, Excise officials arrested accused Zarina and recovered 15 bottles of wine from her possession in a raid conducted at Kalapul area on Korangi Road. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigations are underway.
