The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has sought Expression of Interest (EoI) to carry out inspection of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) works /installations/refuelling stations through third party inspectors.
According to sources, for carrying out inspections of LPG works/installations/refuelling stations in accordance with the Ogra Rules applicant firms/companies having at least 5 years of relevant experience in the inspection of major oil and gas equipments, materials or installations may apply, meeting the following conditions:
The Authority (is regulating the LPG sector of Pakistan as per the LPG (Production & Distribution) Rules, 2001. The Authority is empowered under the LPG (Production and Distribution) Rules, 2001 to appoint 3rd party inspectors to verify that the LPG works meet the requirements of the standards specified in the Rules.
Should possess enough properly qualified engineers having minimum 5 years experience in conducting inspections; Should have national or international accreditation/certification for carrying out the job; Should not have been blacklisted locally or internationally on any account (an affidavit to this effect is required); Should be able to perform the assigned jobs all over Pakistan; Should possess proper inspection equipment for carrying out the job and should be able to provide cash security of Rs 1.0 million in favour of Ogra.
Scope of work for Third Party Inspectors and evaluation criteria can be obtained from the Ogra website www.ogra.org.pk and PPRA website www.ppra.org~pjç. The interested parties meeting the laid down criteria including the companies/firms already working with Ogra as inspectors, may apply, latest by September 8, 2011.
