As many as 3,430 candidates would appear at the entry test being held on 13th September at local two centres at Agri. University and Government College for Women Madina Town under arrangements of University of Health Services Punjab for the admission in MBBS/BDS classes in Medical Colleges.
This was informed during the meeting held here under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain to review the security and administrative arrangements at the entry test centres for smooth and transparent conducting of the test.
The meeting was attended by RPO Aftab Cheema, DCO Naseem Sadiq, Principal PMC Riaz Hussain Dab, Director Colleges Rana Munawar, Registrar Agri. University Chaudhry Muhammad Hussain, and Principal Government College for Women Madina Town Rashida Zafar, Representatives of University Health Services Professor Dr IA Naveed, Muhammad Ramzan and other officers concerned.
It was informed that 2,325 female candidates would appear at the centre of Agri. University and 1,105 male candidates would appear at the centre of Government College for Women Madina Town. The Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned departments to make comprehensive and security arrangements at and around the entry test centres well in time keeping in view the experience of previous years and special alternate arrangements should also be ensured in case of rain besides ensuring proper seating arrangements for the parents of the students and parking.
He directed that technical sweeping of the areas and installation of necessary security gadgets should also be ensured and full dress rehearsal should also be carried out one day before the holding of entry test. DCO Naseem Sadiq briefed the meeting that necessary security and administrative plan has been devised for peaceful conducting of entry test. He said that walk-through gates, CCTV cameras would be installed at the centres besides sweeping the areas through security gadgets and sniffer dogs.
The deployment of police force, rescue 1122 teams and the placement of ambulances and availability of vehicle lifters would be ensured at the centres, he maintained. He said that information desk and medical camps would also be set up at the centres while scouts would also available for the guidance of the candidates.
He informed that the Secretary RTA Mian Mohsin Rasheed has been appointed focal person to co-ordinate the arrangements at Agri. University Center while Additional Director General Liaqat Ali Chatha would be focal person for supervising the arrangements at Government College for Women Madina Town.
The DCO said that traffic plan had also been devised under which separate entry and exit points have been made for smooth clearance of the vehicles. He informed that suitable arrangements had also been made for the parents and relatives of the candidates for their sitting besides establishing the improvised tuck shops at the waiting areas of the centres.
