A man, Arbab Naveed, was shot dead and his cousin was injured in Abdullah Goth in the limits of Sacchal police station on Friday. According to police, the incident took place at Abdullah Palari Goth where Naveed, 25, along with his cousin Saeed and two travel agents Zubair and Bilal, was taking meal.
They said the victim exchanged harsh words with the travel agents, following which one of the travel agent opened fire on both the cousins. Resultantly, Arbab Naveed died on the spot, while his cousin Saeed received bullet injuries. They said the accused managed to flee.
Police said the victim, who was the resident of Gabool Goth and wanted to go abroad, had given money to the travel agents for the purpose and they termed the same as the cause of the murder. Police shifted the body and injured to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities and treatment. Police registered an FIR 590/11 against Bilal and Zubair on the complaint of victim cousin Jhangir and initiated probe.
