Date for tax returns extended

The Federal Board of Revenue has extended the date of filing of income tax returns/statements for the Tax Year 2011 upto October 31, 2011. In this connection, the FBR has issued income tax circular 15 of 2011 here on Tuesday. According to the circular, in exercise of the powers conferred under section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, in case of returns of total income/statements of final taxation due on October 25, 2011; the date of filing has been extended upto October 31, 2011.
