Four people were killed in a remote control bomb attack on a vehicle at Ghawara Banda, Shinokas, tehsil Samarbagh district Lower here on Tuesday morning, said police. The victims have been identified as Rehmat Tawab son of Aziz-ur-Rehman, Aziz-ur-Rehman son of Mohammad Amin, resident of Ghawara Banda, Amin-ul-Haq son of Mohammad Yar Khan, resident of Mawar and Islam Badshah son of Khalid Khan, resident of Ghawara Banda.
The explosion has damaged the vehicle completely. Police sources said that it might be a targeted attack as two years back a clash between militants and peace committee was occurred in the area in which two militants were killed. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti condemned bomb blast in Lower Dir and expressed heartfelt sympathies over the death of four people including three members of the same family.
The Chief Minister said that terrorists targeting innocent people don't deserve to be called human or Muslims. He said that elements involved in such coward acts would meet their fate one-day. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude. He assured provision of compensation to heirs of martyrs in Dir Lower.
