Two persons were gunned down in separate incidents in different areas of the metropolis here on Wednesday. According to police and rescue sources, a man, Jumma. 35, son of Rasool Bux, was targeted by unidentified armed men when he was standing near Lyari General Hospital on Ahmed Ali Shah Bukhari road in the limits of Baghdadi police station. He received bullet wounds and succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.
SHO Raja Fayyaz said the victim was the resident of Ali Mohammad Mohalla and used to run scrap business in the same area where he resided. Police suspected that he might have been murdered by Lyari gangster. Later police handed over his body to the family. No case was registered till filing of this report.
Meanwhile, a man was found dead near Faqira Goth, Super Highway in the limits of Sohrab Goth police station. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he was identified as Ehsan Ali Abro. Police said the deceased, who was living in the flood-affectees camp and hailed from Jacobabad, was shot at from close range. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem and later handed over to his youngest brother Mushtaq. No case was registered till filing of this report.
