The Sindh government has restored billions of rupees funds of the abolished City District Government Karachi (CDGK), 22 district governments and 101 Taulka Municipal Administrations (TMAs), it is learnt on Wednesday. With the restoration of Comissionerate system, the Sindh government had frozen these funds excluding salaries of staff on 9th November 2011.
But on the directives of Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Durani, the local government department has issued a letter, available with Business Recorder, to the officials of the State Bank of Pakistan to direct the concerned banks for restoration of the funds.
