DUBAI: Saudi Arabia's state grain buying agency said on Monday it had bought 1.002 million tonnes of feed barley in an international purchasing tender.
The Saudi Grains Organisation (SAGO) said it bought the barley at an average price of $216.73 a tonne.
The barley was of Australian, North and South American, European Union and Black Sea origin, the agency said.
Of the total, 624,000 tonnes are for shipment to Red Sea ports while 378,000 tonnes will arrive at Gulf ports, SAGO said in a statement.
