Pensioners of different government departments Thursday held a protest demonstration on Shershah Suri Road outside Peshawar Press Club, demanding inclusion of allowances for the pension-receiving serving employees.
The demonstration was headed by All Pakistan Civil Pension Association (APCPA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Jamshed Khan along with scores of pensioners. The retired employees were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favour of their demands.
Talking to reporters, the pensioners demanded including allowances for the pension-receiving serving employees. They sought 300 percent increase in pension and allocation of 30 quota, medical allowance, education welfare fund and other facilities to them.
