Agricultural graduates in collaboration with other agricultural experts can play a very important role in making 'grow more wheat' campaign a success. This was stated by Director General Ayub Agricultural Research Institute (AARI) Dr Noor ul Islam while addressing the agricultural graduates selected for grow more wheat campaign, said a spokesman of the agriculture department here on Friday.
Dr Noor ul Islam said that the Punjab government launched a programme of including agricultural graduates to work hand in hand with agricultural experts for grow more wheat campaign. This programme would also play an important role in training of these agricultural graduates, he added.
He said that the AARI Faisalabad had played a very important role in increasing the yield of different crops. It has introduced various new wheat, rice, sugar cane and cotton varieties which have brief maturity period and strong resistance against diseases. Director Wheat Makhdoom Hussein speaking at the meeting said that agricultural graduates should be provided full opportunities of training so they could guide growers in practical field.
