The Karachi Port handled 53,306 tonnes of cargo including 29,121 tonnes of import, 24,185 tonnes of export cargo and 1,735 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during the last 24 hours of business activities ended at 0700 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 29,121 tonnes comprised of 12,544 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 938 tonnes of b bulk cargo; 1,072 tonnes of coal; 3,550 tonnes of rock phosphate and 6,081 tonnes of oil or liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 24,185 tonnes comprised of 8,210 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 947 tonnes of b bulk cargo; 3,816 tonnes of loose bulk cement and 16,148 tonnes of oil or liquid cargo. A total number of five vessels namely Marilena, Queen Arrow-1, Sioux Maiden, Lodestar Genesis and APL Cyprine are sailed out to the sea after loading/offloading loaded tankers, bulk cargo, tankers and containerised cargo respectively during the reported business period on Thursday.
A total number of five vessels namely Grace Victoria, KY Venus, APL Cyprine, Santa Balbina and New horizone are currently at the berths to load/offload tankers, containerised cargo and general; cargo containers respectively during the reported business hours at Karachi Port. There are three vessels namely KY Venus, MED Levant and Cap Gabriel are expected to sail out to the sea on Thursday. While there are two more cargo vessels namely Fade-1 and Grace Victoria are expected to sail out to the sea on Friday from the same port.
There are five vessels namely Maistros, YM Fuzhou, Frisia Keil, Alliance Charleston and Oceanic Pescadores carrying high speed diesel, containerised cargo, vehicles cargo and general cargo respectively are expected to arrive on Thursday afternoon during the business activity hours at the port. While a total number four more cargo vessels namely Ginga Kite, Bloccom, Emirates Yangtze and APL Sharjah carrying base oil, chemical cargo containers and containerised cargo respectively are expected to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained port's activities of cargo volume of 108,924 tonnes including 84,751 tonnes of import; 24,173 tonnes of export cargo and the total 2,484 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) are handled during the last 24 hours of business activity on Thursday.
The total import cargo volume comprised of 84,751 tonnes including 52,434 tonnes of diesel oil; 2,000 tonnes of palm oil; 3,025 tonnes of canola seeds; 6,629 tonnes of sunflower seeds and 20,663 tonnes of containerised cargo were handled during the business activity hours of the port.
The total export cargo volume comprised of 24,173 tonnes including 4,206 tonnes of rice and 19,967 tonnes of containerised cargo were handled during the reported period of the activity hours on Thursday. There are six cargo vessels namely C V Ikaruga, C V CMA CGM Verdi, C V Al-Exander, M T Al-soor-II, M T Angel No-II and M V Safina-2 sailed out to the sea on Thursday morning.
A total number of eight vessels namely C V Ikaruga, C V CMA CGM Verdi, C V Al-Exander, M V Fonthida Naree, M V Ikan Tambak, M T Iron Kalypso, M T Al-Soor-II and M T Angel No-II were currently occupying the berths to load/offload containerised cargo, rice cargo, canola seeds, sunflower seeds, palm oil tankers and diesel oil tanker respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Thursday.
There are eight vessels namely C V New Delhi Express, C V Pisti, C V Nicolai Maersk, Guana Roba, M T Fair Spirit, M T Chem Bulk Singapore, Fisher-K and M T Sunrise Hamanasu carrying containers, furnace oil tankers, palm oil tankers, cement cargo and chemical cargo respectively after loading or offloading are currently to line up at the outer anchorage of Qasim International Containers Terminal, LCT, FOTCO Oil Terminal and EVTL respectively on Thursday.
A bulk cargo carrier namely M V Zenepk is expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal on Thursday evening, while two more vessels namely C V MSC Jade and M T Stolt Zulu carrying containers and palm oil are due to arrive on Friday.
