The summary of regularisation of 25 daily wage earners working in the Sindh Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) was pending with Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah for the last five months, Business Recorder learnt on Monday. Reliable sources told Business Recorder that the Sindh Tourism Department had moved a summary in mid July 2011 to Sindh Chief Minister for regularisation of 25 daily wagers' services working at STDC.
These employees were working with STDC for the past many years and the summary was moved to the Sindh Chief Minister when Ayaz Soomro was the minister for tourism, sources said. STDC was the part of the Federal Ministry of Tourism, it was devolved to Sindh Tourism Department a few months back. Authorities at STDC had regularised services of many employees on various occasions but these employees were still waiting for confirmation of their jobs, sources said.
According to the sources, the department had mentioned the names of employees including Javaid Memon junior clerk, Majeed chowkidar, Nisar Memon assistant, Mohammad Mithal chowkidar, Farooq chowkidar, Amir Ali gateman, Khamiso Khan waiter, Ahmed Khan gateman, Ali Ahmed chowkidar, Anwar Gandro waiter, Gul Mohammad chowkidar, Mohammad Arbab cook, Abdul Aziz driver, Mohammad Younis waiter, Jan Mohammad helper, Sarwar Ali electrician, Qadoo driver Mohammad Younis driver, Nawab Lund chowkidar, Ghulam Hussain chowkidar, Ghulam Rasool chowkidar, Nawaz cook, Ali Dino Malhi, Gul Baig chowkidar and Imdad Ali chowkidar in the said summary.
