A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) called on Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the CM House here on Tuesday. The MQM delegation was led by provincial minister, Syed Sardar Ahmed and comprised Sindh Health Minister, Dr Saghir Ahmed, Wasim Akhtar MNA and Kanwar Naveed Jamil. Sindh Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro was also present at the meeting.
The proposed law pertaining to Sindh Local Government Act 2011 and its various sections as well as suggestions and amendments presented by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and MQM also came up for discussion during the meeting, says an official statement. It said that the committees of both the parties would meet again on Wednesday and further discussion would also be held with respect to headway regarding headway pertaining to proposed local government law.
