Trade volume remains low on grain market

Slow business was seen on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday due to easy supply position, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old and new (bardan) were quoted at Rs 2670-2675 and 2685-2690, respectively, other items retained the overnight levels in process of trading, they added.
On the rice sector Irri-6 Sindh low type picked up Rs 25 to Rs 2975 and superior quality was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 3100, they said.
On the seed counter cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh was quoted at Rs 700 due to comfortable supply position, they said. On the grams side rates retained the overnight levels due to balanced demand and supply position, they said.
