Pakistan former captain Moin Khan believes that the Green Shirts batting line is not giving themselves enough time to adjust to the conditions, which is the reason of their continued dismal show.

The Kiwis bowling line blew away the Pakistan batting line, during the first T20I of the three match series played today (Monday), as they were reduce to 38 for 6 in ten overs.

Failing to recover from the early losses, Pakistan posted a modest 105 runs on the board. The Black Caps, with seven wickets to spare, chased the target comfortably.

Talking to the media, the former wicket-keeper batsmen said that the Green Shirts failed to assess the conditions, as they looked unconvincing with their shot selection. “The confidence level in the dressing room is pretty shaken up,” said former Pakistan captain Moin Khan.

“The batsmen have no idea which ball to attack or defend, meanwhile, the timing is not their as well, which is resulting in irresponsible stroke play from the batsmen” he added. “We are repeating the same mistakes, which were committed during the recently concluded One Day International series of unnecessarily hitting.”

Khan was of the view that Colin Munro’s inning in today’s match could be a good example for Pakistan, as he took his time on the crease and then started his usual hitting.

“Colin Munro played a good inning, as he took his time earlier on as he saw the pitch was not as batting friendly and adjust to the conditions, this is where the Pakistani batsmen are lacking,” he added.
