Top leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has said that 2012 will be the year of Imran Khan and socio-economic change in Pakistan. Addressing 'Azm-e-Inqilab Convention' here on Sunday they said that Asif Ali Zardari and Sharif brothers (Nawaz & Shahbaz) were supporting each other to protect their looted money, which would be recovered from them through fair and impartial accountability.
PTI Senior Vice President Hamid Khan said that President Asif Ali Zardari, Sharif brothers and Chaudhry brothers must realise that time had come for their accountability. "If we bring back Pakistan's $100 billion looted money lying in the foreign banks, we do not need to beg from others to solve our economic problems," he added.
Khan said that PML-N PML-J PML-Q could be parties of Establishment but not the PTI as it has struggled for 15 years for justice for all, good governance and change in the country. Imran Khan's lightweight could crush the heavyweight with the support of the masses.
The convention was also addressed by senior vice president former Justice Wajihuddin Ahmad, former Foreign Ministers Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri, Sardar Assef Ahmad Ali, Shahzad Ashraf, Hafiz Haseeb Altaf, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Farooq Amjid, Walid Iqbal, Barrister Hamad Azhar.
Kasuri said that 2011 was a bad year for Pakistan but 2012 would be year of Imran Khan and PTI. The waive of change in Arab world has entered Asia. The rulers have sold the country and today Pakistan is even behind Bangladesh and Bhutan, he added.
He said PTI has rebelled against the hereditary politics that was why people were joining PTI and attending its public meetings in thousands.
Wajihuddin Ahmad said that the Muslim youth had changed the map of the sub-continent by joining hands with the Quaid-e-Azam in a short span of time. "Presently we will try to change the fate of Pakistan under Imran Khan's leadership," he added. Addressing the meeting veteran politician Sardar Assef Ahmed Ali said that he had joined PTI in the greater interest of the country and not for any office. Imran Khan is the last hope of the nation. He said the PTI convention has proved that youth of the country does not like hereditary politics.
