President Asif Ali Zardari has felicitated Tahir Hassan Khan, President and other office-bearers of the Democrats Panel on winning all seats in the Karachi Press Club (KPC) elections. The President said that victory of Democrats Panel shows confidence of members of Press Club in democratic traditions.
He prayed for the success of the newly elected office bearers and hoped that they would continue to work for welfare of all the members of Karachi Press Club and protect the rights of journalists. The President said that the government is fully committed to independence of media. He also asked the newly elected President Tahir Hassan Khan to convey his felicitation to all other elected office bearers of Karachi Press Club.
