Protestors of Lyari Aman Committee clashed with police at I. I. Chundrigar Road near Shaheen Complex here on Friday. As per details, a rally of Lyariites was on its way to Bilawal House when it was stopped by police at Shaheen Complex. Police baton-charged the protestors and stopped them from proceeding further.
A heavy contingent of law enforcers were deployed to prevent them from moving towards Bilawal House. Police fired tear gas shells to disperse the protestors. At least 30 protestors were also reported to have been arrested. Later, a negotiation team arrived from the Bilawal House to have talks with the protestors. Later, the representatives of the protestors were taken to Bilawal House to lodge their complaints. Those, who were taken into custody were also released, police sources said.
