Provincial Minister for Zakat & Ushr Malik Nadeem Kamran has directed Chairmen District Zakat Committees and District Zakat Officers to ensure 100-percent distribution of Zakat funds among deserving persons. He said that zero-tolerance policy would be adopted against those who failed to distribute Zakat funds among deserving persons within prescribed time frame.
He was presiding over a high-level review meeting regarding distribution of Zakat, in Aiwan-e-Auqaf. Secretary Zakat & Ushr Punjab Imran Nasir Khan, Administrator Zakat Punjab Muhammad Yousuf Butt, Deputy Administrator Zakat Field Rana Muhammad Sajjad Babar, all Chairmen District Zakat Committees and Zakat Officers and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
Malik Nadeem Kamran directed the District Zakat Officers to personally monitor the process of distribution of scholarships among school and college students and take effective measures to improve check and balance system. The Provincial Minister stressed all Chairmen District Zakat Committees to pay regular visits to the vocational training institutes of their respective areas and make arrangements for conducting special audit of Zakat funds.
