Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf has said that Bangladesh cricket team will tour Pakistan in April, 2012 and they have been assured of foolproof security. Addressing a press conference on the eve of Golden Jubilee of Niaz Stadium Hyderabd, on Sunday, Ashraf said the Bangladesh security team would visit Pakistan to inspect the security measures and the PCB would appoint the DIG rank officer for the Pakistan Bangladesh series.
Replying to a query about the appointment of permanent coach of Pakistan team, he said that Mohsin Hassan Khan was not a qualified coach and negotiations with Australian coach Dav Whatmore was in progress.
Talking about Pakistan-India cricket series, he said they had negotiated with Indian cricket board in this regard but it seemed that Indian interior ministry was not ready to give approval to its board. He said that Pakistan cricket team was in good form and ready to face England cricket team in UAE.
Pakistan team is playing there home series in UAE due to security concerns in the country, Ashraf said. Recalling his past, he said, "I am from Hyderabad and I passed my childhood here and I used to come Niaz Stadium to watch the cricket matches and today I am watching the match as Chairman of PCB, which is great pleasure for me"
PCB governing body member Mir Haider Khan Talpur, Sindh Minister Zubair Ahmed Khan, MNA Syed Tayyub Hussain, Commissioner Hyderabad Ahmed Bux Narejo, Deputy Commissioner Asif Memon, PCB General Manager Media Nadeem Sarwar and others were also present on the occasion.
