On the instructions of Secretary Health Punjab, Mohammad Jehanzeb, health department has started speedy disposal of promotion case of doctors, dental, surgeons, pharmacists and nurses and departmental promotion committee has given approval to promotion of 65 new women medical officers to grade 18.
Additional Secretary Health (administration), Yawar Hussain informed that 19 dental surgeons have been promoted from grade 18 to 19 and five dental surgeons from grade 19 to 20. Meanwhile, 121 nurses were promoted from grade 16 to 17. He said that 60 pharmacists have also been promoted from grade 17 to 18. He further disclosed that secretary health has directed speedy disposal of all promotion cases and more doctors would be promoted within next few days. Yawar Hussain said that notification is being issued soon after finalising the seniority lists of professors, dental surgeons, pharmacists and nurses and all promotions would be made according to the seniority lists.
