The met office on Monday forecast dry weather in the country with foggy and misty conditions in plains of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in the next three days. "Western disturbance lying over northern parts of the country is likely to move away in the north eastern direction during 24 hours," the office says in its daily weather summery.
It says isolated rain with snowfall is likely to hit the hills of Kashmir and its adjoining mountainous areas in the next 24 hours. In the next 48 hours, the forecaster says mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most part of the country. However, more rain with snowfall over the hills of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan may occur.
The office recorded lowest temperature Parachinar minus 11 degree centigrade, Skardu minus 10 degree centigrade, Gupis minus 7 degree centigrade and Kalam minus 6 degree centigrade in the last 24 hours. It says scattered rain with snowfall struck the hills occurred of Punjab (Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Gujranwala and Lahore divisions), Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand and Hazara divisions), Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir in the last 24 hours.
Karachi weather is expected to remain dry with maximum temperature between 12 degree centigrade and 14 degree centigrade in the next 24 hours, the office predicts. In the last 24 hours, Karachi's weather was dry with minimum temperature 18 degree centigrade and maximum 27 degree centigrade, it recorded.
