Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Wednesday exchanged views with constitutional and legal experts, MNAs, MPAs, Senators, MQM Legal Aid Committee and the Co-ordination Committee members in a meeting especially convened to discuss the current situation in the country.
The prevailing situation was discussed in detail during the meeting and there was unanimity that confrontation should be avoided at all cost. It was observed that the country was faced with threats and avoiding confrontation and conflict was the need of the hour. Altaf Hussain said that the MQM believes in the supremacy of the constitution and law. It has always respected the judiciary and it respects all constitutional institutions including the judiciary and the Parliament, he added.
