Alleged criminal held, weapons seized

Crime Invest-igation Agency, Jamsheed Qaurter Thursday claimed to have arrested a villainous criminal from Pak Colony area and recovered weapons from his possession. According to DSP, Mumtaz Magsi, the accused person, namely, Zeeshan Ali alias Akhrot, was arrested after brief encounter at Gattar Baghicha area while his two other accomplices, namely Iqbal Mandela and Anwar Kojeck, managed to escape under the cover of heavy gunshots.
He said the detained person, who belonged to a drug peddler group, confessed to have killed over 20 persons after applying severe torture on them in a cell located at Ayesha Manzil, Pak Colony. He furthered that police have initiated investigation into the case and suspects that the arrested accused might have connection with Lyari gangsters.
