Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani visited Abbotabad Thursday, in connection with Commanding Officers' Conference of the Frontier Force Regiment. Speaking on the occasion, the CoAS appreciated the efforts of the Regiment in fighting militancy and the commitment and valour of its officers and soldiers. Earlier, on his arrival, the CoAS was received by Lieutenant General, Alam Khattak and other senior officers.
The Commanding Officers' Conference is a formal event for interaction between unit commanders and senior officers. It is aimed at professional and administrative improvement within units of a particular regiment with special emphasis on issues affecting the soldiers.
