Pakistan ready to claim the T20I series: Babar Azam
Pakistan’s middle order batsman Babar Azam has said that Pakistan will look forward to wrap up the tour with a win in Twenty 20 International (T20I) series.
Talking to media ahead of series decider in Mount Maunganui, the star batsman said, “The pitch here is really good. We have played here before and enjoyed it. We have a momentum and are looking forward to wrap up the series with victory.”
Replying to a question about second T20I, Babar said, “That’s been our plan throughout the series in the first six overs to actually survive. Openers won’t be able to do that in the One Day International series but in this particular match we managed to do that. Because of that, we got a lot of confidence from the opening stand and also from the fact that how our batters performed well in the death overs of the game and that what give us a lot of confidence.”

Speaking about the Auckland ground, the 23-year-old said the ground was smaller from the front. "But it was really nice pitch to play on and so is this one here in Mount Maunganui and we are looking forward for the challenge."
Referring to Colin Munro’s injury, he said that the injury won’t make a big difference as Pakistan performed well in all aspects of the game. "However, the injury would trouble New Zealand."
Pakistan will face New Zealand in the series decider on Sunday at Mount Maunganui.
