Spokesman to the President Farhatullah Babar on Monday said that President enjoyed full immunity and no case could be filed against him under the constitution. Talking to newsmen here at Election Commission office after filing his nomination papers for the upcoming Senate polls, Farhatullah Babar said "Presidential immunity will prevail unless an amendment is made in constitution".
He said the argument of PPP leadership against writing of letter to Swiss authorities was within the ambit of constitution which provided immunity to President against any legal case. In response to a question about contempt case against the Prime Minister, Farhatullah Babar said PPP leadership had always accorded respect to judiciary and other institutions of the state.
