The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday dismissed a petition of one Abdul Razaq who challenged the family court decision. The family court allowed a French woman, Angaerad Burger, to take her daughter Amna with her. Abdur Razaq and Angraerad were married in France and after some years they separated and got decree through a court. The family court, however, handed over Amna to her mother.
Abdur Razaq brought Amna to Pakistan. Burger approached a family court in Pakistan for custody of her daughter. The family court gave decision in her favour and directed Razaq to hand over the minor to her French mother. Razaq challenged the family court decision before the LHC. The court dismissed his petition and handed over the minor to her mother.
