The profit after tax of Service Industries Limited has increased to Rs 433.368 million in the year ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 328.105 million earned in the year 2010. The company's earning per share increased to Rs 36.03 in the period under review against Rs 27.28 in the same period a year back.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Tuesday recommended a final cash dividend for the year at Rs 10.00 per share, ie 100 percent. According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's sales increased to Rs 11.549 billion in 2011 against Rs 9.421 billion in 2010. The cost of sales increased to Rs 9.979 billion against Rs 8.127 billion in 2010. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 534.619 million in 2011 against Rs 487.932 million in 2010.
