Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC-III) here Monday framed amended charge sheet inserting section 7 of Anti Terrorism Act in the Wali Khan Babar murder case. However, all the five accused present in the court pleaded not guilty and opted to contest the case. The court, headed by the judge Ghulam Mustafa Memon, issued notices to the prosecution witnesses for March 7 after framing the amended charge sheet.
Earlier, the court had allowed the request of public prosecutor for submission of amended challan after inserting section 7 of ATA, which was excluded from the first charge sheet by the investigators. Wali Khan Babar, a local journalist, was shot dead, here on January 13, 2011 while five accused identified as Mohammad Shahrukh, Faisal Mehmood, Mohammad Shakeel, Naveed alias Polka, Syed Mohammad Ali Rizvi were arrested in the case.
