First Annual Sports Day of Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and Lahore General Hospital (LGH) will be held on March 17 at Punjab Stadium which will be participated by doctors, nurses and nurse students enthusiastically.
This was disclosed by Principal PGMI and LGH Professor Dr Tariq Salahuddin while presiding over a meeting here on Sunday. He said that the sports day would be a colourful event wherein various games like Chati race, three-leg race, back race, musical chairs, band march and gol gappay eating competitions would be held.
He said that people associated with health and medical care are very important segments of our society who work under great stress and pressure while treating the ailing humanity.
They also need fun and entertainment to keep fresh and normal. Such positive activities would definitely improve their performance and temperament to serve, he added. Dr Tariq said that families of doctors and nurses would also participate in the sports.
He further told that he is trying his best to set positive and purposeful precedents at PGMI and LGH and it is expected that this annual activity would become a permanent annual feature during coming years.
