Two more matches were decided in the 14th National Veteran Senior Cricket Cup on Friday. In the first match, Amar Cables beat Hajvery Sports by 95 runs while Okara Veteran, in the second match defeated Golden Eagles by 4 wickets and qualified for the zonal quarter-finals.
Amar Cables batting first scored 318/6 in 30 overs. Aziz-ur-Rehman 69, Tariq Rasheed 52, Amer Ilyas Butt 29, Dastgeer Butt 42, Amer Akbar 42 and Zahid Umar 26 runs were main batsmen. For Hajvery Spots Mian Mubeen 3/48, Munir Ahmad 2/51 and Amanat Chan 1/15 were wicket takers. In reply Hajvery Sports were all out at 223. Munir Ahmad 44, Shoukat Ali 37, Malik Muhammad Arif 45 were the main batsmen. For Amar Cables Rouf Wain picked 4/30.
In second match, Golden Eagles batting first scored 200/8 in 30 overs. Ali Rafi 40, Karamat Ali 34 were the main batsmen. Muhammad Hafeez picked 2/22 and Hafiz Khalid 2/16 are the main wicket takers for Okara Veteran. In reply Okara Veteran win the match after scoring 201/6 in 27.2 overs. Asif Mehmood hit 48 and Sheikh Saleem scored 30 runds. Ahmad Shohab picked 3/51.
