KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has denied the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) permission to hold a public gathering at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam on December 25.
A two-member division bench of the SHC denied the permission in response to a petition filed by the PTI.
The court directed the party to contact concerned authorities to find an alternative venue to hold its public meeting.
PTI’s counsel Maula Bux said the SHC order would be challenged in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
However, party leader Naeemul Haq said that the party will file a petition against the order, adding that the SHC decision would be pursued in the High Court and Supreme Court.
Earlier, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan had said the PTI could hold its meeting anywhere and anytime in Karachi.
