Sindh Governor, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Minister for Industries and Commerce Abdul Rauf Siddqui would inaugurate the Afza Altaf Hussein Flyover at Habib Bank Chowrangi of SITE area on Saturday. This was announced by Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce Abdul Rauf Siddiqui in a statement issued on Friday. He said that Sindh government had approved Rs 510 million for flyover which has been completed within limited time period of four months.
Rauf Siddiqui lauded the role of the Sindh Governor Dr Ebad in helping to get the flyover approved and constructed. He also thanked Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah for approving the summary despite the financial crunch the province was going through.
He said that the flyover would have four lanes, while Rs 510 million had been spent on its construction. The flyover will run over 2,000 feet, and will be 48 feet wide. He further told that the SITE authorities had announced a traffic diversion plan during the construction period, while work was continued round the clock, he added. The Industries Minister also announced a bonus for the officials of the SITE Limited on the completion of the flyover which would be given after inauguration. He said that the flyover would resolve traffic congestion of the SITE area.-PR
